about

Lullabies Of Pervland is the second studio album by 2014 Musical Comedy Awards finalist Laurence Owen.

Pervland is a pure comedy album, hopping between topics and genres like a disturbed rabbit. Everything from the sound of a bunch of angry Mexicans abusing guitars in a garage, to the lush, orchestral dreamscapes of fairytale princesses can be expected. No stone is left unturned, and no path untrodden.

Topics include cheerful stalkers, toddler fantasies, murderous fancy dress, the injustices of Christmas and of folk music, the feminist implications of Disney archetypes, the greatest cover-up in science fiction history, and some of the most excruciating euphemisms you are likely to hear committed to tape.

"Fantastic guitar skills, sublime lyrics and a withering wit" - Phil Nichol
"Genius... a glorious shot of pure dark satire" - Broadway Baby
"Horrible yes, but also very funny" - Bruce Dessau, Evening Standard
"Wickedly funny... brilliant stuff" - This Is Cabaret
